Who are the members of Rotary?
Lockport Rotary is comprised of successful business people, educators, religious leaders, lawmakers, non-profit executives, and other civic-minded achievers and doers who are interested in making a difference in the community. They are men and women who have the time and resources to commit to Rotary and its objective of "Service Above Self."

Rotary is Service, Fellowship, and Networking.
Lockport's first and largest service club, the Rotary Club of Lockport, offers its members numerous opportunities for fellowship and networking. The Rotary Club roster includes individual and corporate members from a wide variety of businesses and organizations.  In an increasingly complex world, Rotary provides one of the most basic human needs: the need for friendship and fellowship. Your involvement on public, club, vocational and international service committees offers opportunities to receive personal gratification and learning leadership skills with the most active citizens in our community.

What is the commitment?
As is always the case when one joins an organization, an individual's reward and satisfaction is contingent upon how much he or she commits to the organization. The Rotary Club of Lockport meets every Tuesday at The Dale Association, 33 Ontario Street, Lockport, NY from 12-1 PM.  Most meetings last no longer than one hour.  Meetings usually include a featured speaker and program. Lockport Rotary welcomes the finest guest speakers, from leading business people to motivational speakers to elected officials. Board meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of the month at 8:00am at the Dale Association (see above).  Service projects and fundraisers are also scheduled throughout the year.

Members are asked to maintain 50% attendance by joining our weekly club meetings, or by visiting any other Rotary Club for their scheduled meeting. Meeting "make-ups" are possible throughout the Western New York area because there are Rotary Clubs meeting every day of the week.  Members may also attend any Rotary Club meeting worldwide or online. Part of the enjoyment of Rotary is the fellowship and networking at the weekly meetings.  Participation in club sponsored service projects or fundraisers can also be applied to attendance.  Rotarians are expected to serve on one or more of our committees.

Dues are $220 annually.  Included in the dues total is a $60 contribution, per member, to The Rotary Foundation in support of Rotary International projects.
