(Left to right): Dan Wilson, Chair of the Salvation Army Support Committee for Rotary Club of Lockport, Rotarian Dick Maigret, Jean Lowry (Rotarian Maynard Lowry's wife) and Sue Lougen pose by the red kettle at Tops on Transit Road in Lockport during a shift change last night. Rotary raises between $50,000 and $60,000 for Salvation Army. If you ever get tired of the ubiquitous red kettle solicitation that starts before Thanksgiving, know that funds raised in this way (outside of mail-in response) stay locally. It is heart warming to see people of limited means (presumably) put a few coins in and to hear testimonies about how a member was helped by the Salvation Army. Photo by volunteer, Paul Lehman
